The children loved the visit from 'praising hands'. The puppets were lots of fun and made learning about Easter a real joy.

What a tournament for the boys! Both our teams got to the bronze final and after a goaless match, it went to penalties. In the end both teams shared the spoils and have gone home with bronze medals. WELL DONE BOYS!

That is the end of the first term. It has been great to look back at all the super learning we have done this term, the Bog Baby story, walks around Eling, the Great Fire of London and then Christmas. Seeing the children perform so confidently during Christmas showed us what amazing children we have at Eling. They now deserve a well earned rest and we hope you all have a lovely Christmas with family and friends. Please keep reading when you can, there are some brilliant Christmas stories at Totton library to help with the Christmas spirit. We hope you also have a great New Year. We look forward to seeing everyone back in January!

Reading is one of the most important skills children need to learn, to love to read, to hear and understand books and to be able to develop their own reading skills. We are looking to get more parents and carers into school to read with some of our children to help them on their reading journey. If you are interested, please go to the Dolphin classroom and speak to Mr McElhenny. We already have some brilliant helpers who have already made a massive difference for some children.
