Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
At Eling we believe that all children should make good or better progress. We believe that all teachers have responsibility for all children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
Children are described as having Special Educational Needs if they have a significantly greater difficulty in learning than the majority of others of the same age, or if they have a disability which prevents or hinders them from making use of facilities of a kind generally provided for others of the same age in school.
Special Educational Needs provision is provision that is additional to, or different from that made generally for all other children.
If your child has special educational needs, and you wish to discuss them further, please do not hesitate to contact the school and speak to Lucy Biggs (SENCo) or Trina Sillence (Headteacher).
Please see the links on this page for more detailed information about how the school works to support children, the outside agencies that we work with to support our children and more information about specific learning needs.
