I hope everyone had a wonderful summer. It seemed to go by so quickly! It is so nice to see all the children back at school, enjoying seeing each other and making new friends. There are changes for everyone, big or small, but I’m sure that the wonderful Team Eling will be managing all of it effortlessly for our children.

A warm welcome to all the new parents of our Starfish children, I envy you as I start my last year as a parent at Eling Infant School and Nursery. I hope that you can take it all in and that all your children get the most out of their time at Eling. I have loved being a parent at Eling. You will all find yourselves phonics experts before long!!

As a parent, it is a great opportunity to join our PTA. It is a fun and relaxed group and the money raised goes towards funding experiences for the children so it’s nice to get involved.

We are just one governor short at the moment. It is a perfect opportunity to really learn how the school runs. It is interesting to see how a school runs in the background. If you are interested, please speak to Mrs. Sillence or myself and we can explain what it entails. We are a lovely group of governors, and you will be well supported.

I haven’t been the Chair of Governors for long and so this is a new start for me too with the new school year. I hope to be present as much as possible and you will still see me at the rush that is the school run! I wish you all a wonderful term.
